
I headed over to @thelodhidelhi for a popup of @cavatinagoa @chefavinashmartins has definitely put the Goan food on the international map with progressive Indian dishes that he is serving at his restaurant from the sun kissed shores of South Goa. His inspiration comes from the Indo Portugese and Saraswat Brahmin flavours sprinkled with a bit of tribal flavours from Goa. The menu at the pop up included a Bisque made out prawns, mussels and clams followed by prawns served with a solkadhi inspired dressing. The squid Caldeirada elevated the flavours with a chorizo stuffing and a rouille. Interspersed with a raw Mango Aam Ras Puri, the mains included Duck served with Cabidel sauce, Buckwheat, Corn Khichdi and a beet root glaze followed by a stuffed chicken Roulade.
