Yogic Parenting It’s everywhere on Instagram right now and I experienced it first hand recently. “Bhajan clubbing.” “Kirtan nights.” “Mantra circles.” Young kids the same ones who grew up on reels, dopamine hits, and overstimulation are choosing chanting over chaos. This generation is tired. Not physically — mentally. Their nervous system has been in overdrive since they were 12. Notifications, comparison, pressure, identity confusion… Constant rajas that hyper, buzzing energy that never lets you sit still. So they’re finding sattva in the only place that actually quiets the mind: sound + rhythm + breath. And this is not about religion. It’s about regulation. It’s the first time many Gen Z kids feel their breath slow down… their mind stop racing… their body sync with something steady. In yoga, this is Nada Yoga sound that calms the nervous system before the mind even understands what’s happening. And maybe that’s why it’s going viral. Because for the first time, they’re experiencing a kind of peace no algorithm has ever given them. It’s the next generation choosing whatever feels like home… even if it sounds like a bhajan and looks like a rave. Zero posting, bhajan clubbing are all their ways of seeking grounding. What’s your take parents?
