Operation Paperclip was a secret U.S program after World War II that brought hundreds of former Nazi scientists to America to work on military and space research during the Cold War. Many of them had been involved in Germany’s wartime rocket and weapons programs, including the V2 missile project. Despite their controversial pasts, they were recruited to help the U.S gain a technological edge over the Soviet Union.
