North korea has entered the war. (It's over now) Tensions in East Asia spiked today after North Korea launched around 10 ballistic missiles toward the Sea of Japan, triggering alerts in Japan and drawing global attention. According to officials in South Korea, the missiles were fired from the Pyongyang region and traveled hundreds of kilometers before landing in the sea, outside Japan’s exclusive economic zone. The launch comes during ongoing joint military drills between United States and South Korea exercises that Pyongyang frequently condemns as preparations for invasion. In response, North Korea once again showcased its missile capability, signaling that geopolitical tensions on the Korean Peninsula remain far from cooling down.
