Meghalaya in the rain feels like something you don’t just see—you feel it. Shot this on my way to Baghmara, South Garo Hills, and I know not everyone will agree… but to me, this is when Meghalaya is at its most beautiful. Not under clear blue skies, but wrapped in rain, mist, and silence. The hills disappear and reappear, the roads shine, and everything slows down. It’s quiet, but not empty. There’s a kind of comfort in it… like the place is holding you for a moment, asking you to just be. I can’t really explain it properly, but the rain here doesn’t feel lonely. It feels like home.
