I was invited to a beautiful christening in Lynshing, Meghalaya — and got super lucky to catch Ka Sur Na Nongkyndong performing live! Ka Sur Na Nongkyndong literally translates into “Voices from the Village”) and consists of members from villages like Lynshing, Mawjatap, Nohron, etc They’re a local folk band that celebrates Khasi traditions through their music, and honestly, their sound is something else — so catchy, soulful, and completely in sync.
