It is an extremely courageous, honest writing that blurred the line between fiction and non-fiction. It's deep writing, disturbing and grows dark with each passing chapters.... Writing with honesty is not easy, sometimes it is a devastating experience and still some people choose to write with honesty. Some people says writing about traumatic experience is healing and at the same time you have to go through the same trauma, same pain, it may recover you from the nightmare still it's a difficult journey. I loved how the book slowly penetrates at the heart of the childhood and adolescent years of an abuser.... The multiple pov narrative follows the geometry of the abuser's life, the childhood, the misogynist mindsets, the family algorithm that shaped him slowly and shifted him to a particular type of human being also the book simultaneously kept tabs on the victims life - her childhood and college life seamlessly unfolded and gives readers a fine dramatic experience while the book slowly felt heavy yet gripping. Author wrote about rape victim's experience, the pain, the harrowing details, the prolonged Courtroom Drama, the questions and answers, the legal fight, the assault described here with utmost courage and strength, rather becoming a meek victim she chose to face it with powerful positivity and saluting you for penning down all your pain. Reflecting pain in words is not easy yet author @winniemli made it possible. I am glad I received this book from @daturabooks When I received this book I was going through some of my personal difficult days, some chronic health issues so I couldn't read but I knew it one day I will read it.
