Almost Sixteen by @arshverma15 is a story about growing up, the struggle to fit in, fragile friendships,first love, figuring out your dreams and desires while stepping in a new phase of life. The struggle of 15yr old Ashwin to fit in a new school in a new city, befriending classmates felt so real. The need to overcome inner struggles, awkwardness that feels like a chasm, break the ice without offending others and leave a good impression without affecting your studies is something many of us can relate to. During his journey he ended up earning the title Fart Hunter.The class is full of interesting characters who made the whole journey worthwhile.His story will make you laugh, think and remind you of your own school days. The characters are flawed, relatable, portray the insecurities and curiosity of the teenage years.They are well developed and explored to the T. The engaging writing and fast past storyline kept me glued to the book till the end.I ended up adding many new words to my vocabulary, all thanks to the book.The story ended on a beautiful note. I would love to recommend this book to every reader who loves relatable, flawed fictional characters.
