Exactly 13 years ago, I formally e-separated from Infosys and informally embraced uncertainty. At the time, it didn’t feel like a bold move or a well-thought-out plan. It simply felt necessary. There were no directions. Just a sense that staying comfortable would cost me more than leaving. What followed wasn’t a straight path as many of you already know of. It was a series of explorations - some intentional, many accidental. Writing found me before I knew I wanted to be a writer. Entrepreneurship and mentoring became central before I had language for leadership. Purpose showed up inherently, often taking different forms. Looking back, many of the most meaningful paths were the ones I didn’t even know to dream of. Over the years, I have been asked about the journey. About the pivot, the choices, the outcomes. But what has stayed with me more are the thought processes behind those choices. How I learned to sit with ambiguity, make decisions without full clarity, unlearn ideas of linear growth, and stay open to what wanted to emerge rather than forcing a plan. On this day, I am happy to share that I am working on a book, tentatively titled No Directions, Still Navigating. It’s not a biography because I have a long way to go and it’s definitely not a success story because I don't think I have reached there yet. It’s a collection of reflections, lessons, and lived insights from navigating work, creativity, leadership, and life without a fixed map. This book is for those who are moving forward without neat answers. For those who feel they are 'behind' because their path doesn’t look conventional. For anyone who suspects that clarity often comes after movement, not before. The journey is still unfolding. But some learnings feel ready to be written down. More soon.
