🛫 Singapore’s Changi Airport: Is it really the world’s best? Let’s dive into some truths that might surprise you! 👀 Changi is often hailed as the pinnacle of airport experiences, but here’s the catch – its most famous attractions aren’t even in the airport proper! 😮 The stunning Rain Vortex and the new Wonderfall? They’re actually in Jewel, a separate building that’s more mall than airport. And here’s the kicker – you need to clear immigration to access it! 🛂 For many travelers, especially those with Indian passports, this presents a significant hurdle. Without a valid visa or Visa-Free Transit Facility (VFTF), you’re out of luck. And getting that VFTF? It’s not as simple as it sounds, with a long list of requirements that many don’t meet. So, what can transit passengers actually experience? There are some nice gardens, rest areas, and play zones for kids. But does this really justify the “world’s best airport” title? 🤔 For those lucky enough to enter Jewel, it’s undeniably impressive. But let’s be real – it’s essentially a very cool mall where locals hang out regularly. Is it fair to consider this part of the airport experience? There is a workaround to catch a glimpse of the Rain Vortex without clearing immigration – a sky train ride between terminals. But it’s just that – a glimpse.
