Growing up, a red thread was tied on our hands during a puja. But no one explained it. Just tied the knot and said, “pehne rehna.” Back then it felt like just another ritual. Now I realise some traditions quietly stay with us long before we understand them. That’s why I love digging up and researching the science and logic behind these simple traditions and I feel once I understand them, they don’t feel alien or burdensome. Infact, I like adopting them☺️. I hope I can instil the same in you and generations to come because our culture is very beautiful. Tell me honestly, do you still wear a kalava / mauli, or was it just something elders made us do? #IndianCulturewithPrerna #SacredThread #KalavaStories #MaaOfAllBlogs (why we tie kalava, mauli meaning in hindu culture, red thread significance, vedic rituals explained)
