I never gave screentime to my child till 1.5 years. But when she started refusing every meal, I became frustrated and tired. I tried making different foods, purees and alternatives every day. Finally, I started giving TV while feeding her. Yes… she started eating properly. Dal chawal, roti sabji — everything. I felt so relieved. But slowly I noticed she became dependent on screen during meals. Eating became slow and distracted. So I made one small change. I stopped TV and started involving her in drawing and cooking instead. Now she asks me what we are making today and eats with interest ❤️ Sometimes kids don’t need screens to eat… they need involvement. Some tips that will work Reduce gradually, don’t stop suddenly .switching off in the last 10 minutes .then reduce day by day Give them a role .Can you mix your dal? Feed mama one bite Count your roti bites Keep conversations light: .talk about their day .tell small stories .ask fun questions Keep meals short and calm remove plate calmly after 20–25 mins offer next meal at proper time Screen-time makes eating easy for parents… but independent eating habits make life easier for kids. toddlermomlife kidsfoodideas picky eater solution parentingtipsindia momlifeindia healthyeatinghabitsforkids toddlermealtime noscreentimekids momexperience realmomlife feedingtoddlers indianmomblogger kidsroutine momstoriesmatter raisingkids
