Advising middle-aged patients on how to take their vitamin supplements to make up for deficiencies that their diet often cannot fulfil. 1. Calcium: Found in dairy products. Advised to take along with foods rich in vitamin D3 such as egg yolks and fish to enhance absorption. 2. Vitamin D3 (60,000 IU): Usually taken once a week with fatty foods for better absorption since it is a fat-soluble vitamin. Good sources include fish, ghee, and egg yolks. 3. Iron: Best taken on an empty stomach along with vitamin C-rich foods such as lemonade or lemon juice to improve absorption. Avoid Tea, Coffee and Calcium atleast 2hrs after consumption of Iron 4.
