Some books to cherish. I wasn't expecting it to come, what I found inside this book is a pure gem, it's a priceless collection, you will understand the value from the very first page. I was expecting some translation from the golden age of Bengali literature but what I read was something beyond my expectations. The first translation started with Rammohan Roy's note, the argument that applied to stop Sati practice which is enough to give shiver run down in spine, and the next was another argument that was written by Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar, it was for widow remarriage. What can I say about this book, a mind boggling collection celebrated and curated with love for Bengal. Now you can imagine what would be added next...the whole book preserved Bengal history and what reshapes life, the powerful flow of ink that once created ripples not only in Bengali 's life but the whole India has been shaken by them, now you can get them all together. The vigorous art of words, and cultural revolution I always wanted to read, I got them in one single cover. Can't thank you enough for this jewel of a book. You made my dream come true!
