Nissan has revealed its upcoming compact SUV for India, named Tekton, which will rival the Hyundai Creta and launch in mid-2026. The name “Tekton” means craftsman or architect in Greek. It shares its platform and mechanicals with the next-gen Renault Duster and draws heavy design inspiration from the larger Nissan Patrol SUV. The exterior features connected C-shaped LED lights, flared wheel arches, a sculpted bonnet with “Tekton” badging, and dual-tone bumpers. Inside, the dashboard sports a three-tone finish with soft-touch materials, glossy black surfaces, and a copper accent strip. Engine details are yet to be confirmed, but the SUV is expected to get petrol-only powertrains. Production will take place at the Renault-Nissan Alliance plant in Chennai, serving both domestic and export markets. #tekton #hyundaicreta #nissan
