The Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA), in collaboration with PremonAsia, has released the 2025 edition of its Dealer Satisfaction Study (DSS), which covered over 1,800 dealer principals and nearly 5,000 outlets across India. The study highlights the state of OEM–dealer relationships and saw JSW MG Motor India retain its top position in the four-wheeler mass market category with 868 points. In the two-wheeler space, Royal Enfield led the rankings with 852 points, closely followed by Hero MotoCorp, both registering strong year-on-year gains. Ashok Leyland continued its dominance in the commercial vehicle segment with 786 points, while Atul Auto topped the three-wheeler category with an impressive 924 points after returning to the study after three years. In the luxury car space, Volvo Cars took the lead with 884 points. The industry’s average dealer satisfaction score rose to 781 points, improving by 13 points compared to last year. While product quality and reliability remain the strongest drivers of satisfaction, dealers expressed concerns over structural challenges such as unsold inventory buyback policies, shared training costs, tight margins on vehicles and spare parts, and overall dealership viability. FADA President C.S. Vigneshwar noted that the study, conducted in nine regional languages between July and August 2025, reflects the evolving dealer–OEM relationship. He emphasized that although India’s auto sector continues to deliver on product quality, urgent attention is needed to address structural issues like margins, policy flexibility, and dealer engagement. With GST relief already boosting market dynamics, resolving these challenges is crucial as the industry prepares for a busy festive season. #FADA #jswmgmotorindia #royalenfield
