
India’s EV market hit a new record in August 2025, with 17,298 units sold, up 155% YoY and 7.5% MoM, marking the best month of the year. Tata Motors led with 7,088 units, but its market share slipped to 41%. MG Motor followed with 4,759 units (+231% YoY), while Mahindra surged to 3,495 units (+937% YoY). Hyundai, Kia, and BYD also posted strong gains, with Kia recording its highest-ever EV sales. The luxury EV segment grew 170% YoY to 464 units, dominated by BMW (362 units). Overall, Jan–Aug 2025 EV sales stand at 1.09 lakh units, a 71% rise over last year, showing India’s EV adoption is accelerating rapidly. #ev #electricvehicle #electric
