If you’re looking for a fun and enriching activity for your toddler, a petting farm is a must-visit! We recently took Aanya, and it was such a special experience—one filled with excitement, curiosity, and lots of tiny, eager animals. Since she’s still a little cautious around animals, we stuck to feeding them rather than touching. The guinea pigs and rabbits were the perfect size for her, and she loved watching them munch away on the food she gave them. It was such a great way to help her feel comfortable around animals without any pressure to pet them. Petting farms offer so much more than just animal interactions. They teach kids about kindness, patience, and responsibility in a hands-on way. Aanya was fascinated by how the animals ate, and I could see her little mind taking it all in. It was also a great sensory experience—seeing different animals up close, hearing their little squeaks and rustling noises, and observing their movements. If you’ve ever considered taking your toddler to a petting farm, I highly recommend it! Even if they’re hesitant to touch the animals, just feeding them can be such a rewarding experience. It’s a beautiful way to connect with nature, slow down, and create core childhood memories. This lovely place is 'The Barnyard' located in Sainik farms. There is an entry ticket for the same and you need to purchase the veggies basket from them. You can take their guided tour or feed the animals yourself however walk-ins are allowed you need not book your slot. @thebarnyard.india
