Jumping on the trend but a little late. I had to do this one! So I was this underconfident average kid in school. Nothing special. I made very few friends, always had a small group of 3-4 friends. Even in college I was the same. Found it hard to make and continue friendships. I was an introvert girl who thought there was nothing special about her. My dad wanted me to become a doctor and live his dream through me. I always knew it won't happen but on his insistence I made this dream mine. I tried twice but failed and then told him to accept that this was never going to happen. I still had big dreams but didn't know what I wanted to do in life except one thing I always did. I never left any opportunity I got however big or small. My story of how I got admissions in my graduation, post graduation and then first job are all unconventional. I would need three different posts to discuss each. But the moment I landed my first job I never looked back. That was it for me. My gateway to my ambitions and goals. But that wouldn't be possible had I not met this one person who changed my life. This person saw my strengths and spoke to me about those strengths. Never ever anyone had complimented me for the way I spoke or presented. Working in the corporate world makes you realise your strengths because you get to practice them. The ugly duckling phase had passed and I became confident in my own skin physically and mentally. Its not that he taught me something.I always had those strenghts. But sometimes those skills are forgotten due to years of trauma you endured. Years of being judged for your academics and feeling inadequate. And Im so happy that my little self would be so so proud of this version of me. Can you guess who this special person was? #motivation #selfmotivation #lifegoals #ambitions
