Hiroyuki Numata, a middle-aged man who's returned to the neighborhood searching for the happy life and love he once gave up. And a teenage girl, who is still coming to terms with her sister's death and finding peace. The story is slow-paced and I loved the slowness. The slowness made this a cozy and warm read. The author's flawless narrative makes everything vivid. Such a heartwarming read filled with emotions. Days at the Torunka Café is a read about people and their connections. The characters are flawed, which feels real and relatable. Such a great read about grief, healing and relationships. Overall, I loved this book and would strongly recommend it to all.
