Anna: A Life of Faith and Courage by Travis Short is a heartwarming read which keeps the readers hooked till the end. The story is based on a frank and revealing memoir written by Anna Marie Gamble at age 84 at the request of her children. Travis Short met Anna when she was 96 years old while visiting his brother's wife at a convalescent facility in Ypsilanti, Michigan. The book is about Anna's journey, and it is sad with family dysfunctions. Yet, she is full of strength and courage. Such a well-written book. The language used is lucid and easy to understand. It is a blend of facts with fiction, which makes it an unputdownable read. I loved Anna and enjoyed reading this book. Such an engaging and good read. Overall, I loved this book and would strongly recommend it to all.
