My goal for this year is to slow down. I’ve noticed this pattern in myself for years — brushing my teeth fast, cooking fast, finishing chores fast, living life in a constant hurry… even when there was no real rush. This year, I want to change that. I want to plan my time better instead of waiting till the last minute and stressing myself out. Plan my day. Plan my menu. Move through life at a calmer, gentler pace. No rush. No unnecessary stress. Just doing things with presence. I want to take slow showers, take my time to get ready, and dedicate intentional time to my self-growth and to the things that truly bring me joy. I want a system and a routine that makes sense to me — not to please anyone else. For some, this may not seem like a big deal. But for me, it is. So here’s to 2026 — a year where I choose to enjoy myself as a person first, and then lovingly do my bit for my family, my kids, and the people around me. At my own pace.
