Was at @netflix_in for a deep meaningful conversation about Raising Screen Smart Families organised by @kidsstoppress This comes a full circle, as Netflix completed 10 years in India and my journey with Netflix also started in 2016. Infact, I was one of the first few bloggers to be handed over a card that entitled me to get a year of Netflix unlimited time to understand the OTT. They didn’t want anything in return just my opinion on the viewing experience. I initially hesitated because I didn’t want to get hooked onto something but the content was so so good unlike anything I was consuming in India. I remember how excited we were to be invited to the Stream Team a few years later and do watch the small clip of the goodies they sent us that I have attached in the slides. My kids 👶 became loyalist and we literally have grown with it. Covid came and Netflix became our go to place. Family viewing to everyone on our own devices as well. It was tough not to binge watch and I am guilty of it several times😅. However, you have to lead by example and now as a family we are in more control. Thanks to all the features that they have introduced that helps us monitor what the kids are watching and us being able to control what we don’t want them to watch. If there was one thing I would want more is a feature is to help binge watchers. I do hope they come up with a time limiting feature where the parents can lock screens if the child exceeds a certain number of hours of watching. And such reminders to parents as well😊🤞. If you could what would be the one feature you would like to see added? [Netflix Stream Team, ScreenTime for kids, Netflix India, Prerna Sinha, Maaofallblogs]
