SKIP COLOMBO & INSTEAD VISIT NEGOMBO 🇱🇰 Negombo was definitely a chill vibe location in our Srilanka trip which reminded us more of the South Goa feels. We didn't have Negombo in our itinerary infact we were supposed to head from Colombo to Sigiriya after renting the tuktuk however since we lost a lot of daylight hours, we decided last minute to spend a night in Negombo and it was totally worth it. If you want to beat the crowds and the city life, we suggest opting for Negombo which is also closer to the airport as compared to Colombo if you have a tight itinerary. We stayed at Island Villa which was just a 2 mins walk to the Negombo beach and it costed us only Rs. 1000 for a night which was a steal deal.
