Being a girl mom changed the way I see feminism. It stopped being a debate and became deeply personal. Feminism, to me, is not about hating men. It’s about making sure my daughter grows up in a world where her voice is heard, her boundaries are respected, and her dreams are not limited by her gender. I want her to know that she does not owe the world silence, sacrifice, or “good girl” obedience to deserve love and respect. I want her to grow up safe. Safe to speak. Safe to choose. Safe to exist as her full self. And I hope one day she never has to “fight” for rights that should have always been hers. That is why feminism matters to me. Because I’m not just raising a daughter.
