My favourite part of being a mom is finding new ways to love my child… and watching how he responds 🤍 These are 3 small things that help us bond more like FRIENDS, than just mom and son 😀 Tell me yours in the comments ✨ 1 - Getting down to his level I see a huge difference when I sit on the floor and come down to his height. He doesn’t see me as “ABOVE” him anymore… It’s like… suddenly we are the same. Like friends together 🤍 I’m someone he can reach, someone he can hold, someone who is just like him 🤍 He responds by wrapping his tiny arms around me ✨ 2 - Finding ways to be the FUN parent At least for 15 minutes every day, I try to be the “fun parent.” Because most of the time… I’m busy being the responsible one. And to him I look like the most serious person in the world 😓 Maybe that’s why children love vacations so much… They finally see a side of us they don’t get to see at home. So I play some music, and dance like no one’s watching. And his eyes light up ✨ That beaming smile… 🫶😍 He comes running, joins me, and just like that—we’re not parent and child anymore, we’re just two happy humans. Now he waits for this every single day 🤍 I try to show him a more alive version of me everyday and I know that’s his favourite Mom moment 😌 3 - Entering his little world We underestimate the little moments in their world… Anything like a spoon, a paper ball, a small stone becomes a game for them. To us, it’s nothing. To them, it’s a chance to explore. To feel. To be curious. When we have more shared moments with them, it becomes easy for them to become friends with us.
