If your baby is about to turn two… this is something I’m learning every single day as a mom This stage is not about making them “listen” It’s about understanding what’s happening inside them. Here are a few things I’m consciously trying to stop 1. Saying “stop crying” Because they’re not crying to trouble us… they’re still learning how to handle big emotions. 2. Expecting logic during meltdowns In that moment, emotions take over. They need calm, not explanations. 3. Calling them stubborn That little “no” is actually independence starting. 4. Forcing them to share immediately Sharing is a skill… not something they understand overnight. 5. Comparing them to other kids This is something I became very mindful of…Every child grows at their own pace. Comparison doesn’t help them grow - it only creates pressure. 6. Using fear to control behaviour It might work instantly… but it builds fear instead of trust. Taking tantrums personally It’s not about us. It’s their little nervous system still learning regulation. ⸻ I’m not perfect at this… but I’m trying to be more aware every day. Because our response today… slowly becomes their inner voice tomorrow. #gentleparenting #toddlermomlife #parentingreels #consciousparenting #momlifeindia
