નખત્રાણાના સુપર માર્કેટ વિસ્તારમાં એક બિનવારસુ ગાયે વાછરડીને જન્મ આપતા, કડકડતી ઠંડી અને શ્વાનોના ડર વચ્ચે સેવાભાવી લોકો મદદે આવ્યા હતા. સ્થાનિક લોકોએ ગૌપ્રેમીઓને જાણ કરતા મમૂભાઈ રબારી, ગૌરક્ષા ટીમ અને હિન્દુ યુવા સંગઠનની ટીમે તાત્કાલિક સ્થળ પર પહોંચી ગાય અને નવજાત વાછરડીનો કબજો લીધો હતો. શિયાળાની ઋતુમાં વાછરડી સુરક્ષિત રહે તે હેતુથી તેને ગૌશાળામાં ખસેડવામાં આવી હતી અને તેની યોગ્ય વ્યવસ્થા કરવામાં આવી હતી.
