કચ્છ જિલ્લામાં આજે સાંજના સમયે ભૂકંપના હળવા આંચકા અનુભવાતા સ્થાનિક લોકોમાં ફફડાટ વ્યાપી ગયો હતો. સાંજે 8:00 થી 8:45 વાગ્યાના સમયગાળા દરમિયાન વિવિધ વિસ્તારોમાં લોકોએ એકસાથે 4 થી 5 વખત જમીનમાં ધ્રુજારી અનુભવી હતી, જેના કારણે ગભરાયેલા લોકો સાવચેતીના ભાગરૂપે પોતાના ઘરોની બહાર દોડી આવ્યા હતા. જોકે, આ આંચકાઓ અંગે હજુ સુધી સિસ્મોલોજી વિભાગ દ્વારા કોઈ સત્તાવાર પુષ્ટિ કરવામાં આવી નથી
