I picked up this book thinking it would be a light read. And in some ways it was - light like sunshine, light like that specific kind of happiness that sits in your chest without you fully understanding why. but it also went deep. Deeper than i expected. and i am so glad it did. This book lives in Mumbai - and oh, how beautifully it lives there. The streets, the noise, the rush, the dreams squeezed into tiny apartments and crowded local trains. The city isn't just a backdrop here. it breathes. it pushes. It shapes Meenakshi just as much as any person in her life does. If you've ever lived in a big city chasing something you couldn't fully name yet - you will feel this book in your bones. Sound familiar? yeah. i thought so too. Then Arun enters with honesty, with patience. with a kind of quiet care that sneaks up on you before you even realise it's happening. And watching Meenakshi navigate that - the confusion of being truly seen by someone -was my favourite part of this entire book. The author understands something that many love stories forget - that the most life-changing moments rarely feel big when they're happening. They feel like ordinary afternoons, Hesitant conversations, small choices made half in fear and half in hope. This book is full of those moments. and every single one of them landed.
