Meera bai's devotion for Krishna was not just a mere love-it was pure, fearless, and full of surrender. She gave up the comforts of life, the rules, and the expectations of others to follow only her heart and this book captures that courage and devotion through a very simple way. Each of the translated bhajans strikes as a song directly from her soul-soft yet strong, tender yet unbreakable. Manjul Bajaj has done something extraordinarily magical. The beauty and the yearning in each poem are all able to be felt as if they were imperishable. One can hear almost the sound of Meera’s faith, in form of the anklets, dancing through the pages and her love that knows no bounds.
