🌸Absolutely beautiful and heartwarming 🌸 Reading Delhi’s Last Mushaira in 1845 felt like entering a secret world. Every page was a stroke of poetic history, painted with gentle touches that encouraged stopping and just breathing it in. The poems were like little jewels within the tale, each carrying its own music and meaning. In this book, the author hasn’t just translated the words; she has also translated feelings, moments, and the very heartbeat of Urdu poetry. The book gave me that rare, warm, cozy feeling which one gets when deeply in love with the words; like an old shawl enveloping one on a winter night, listening to verses that touch the heart. The book offers an experience, a lingering taste, of a world where poetry was life itself.
