That colour really stands out, even for a colour-blind guy like me. Rich at first glance, absolutely stunning when you look twice, and downright unique up close. And the closer I got, lingering beside it, trying to make sense of the Maybach badge. But before my motorcycling brain could zoom in on the details, I found myself going in circles counting the number of logos on this majestic machine. Honestly, this car could easily pass off as the lovechild of a Mercedes x Louis Vuitton or Mercedes x Versace collaboration. There’s lust on the outside, but inside? It’s pure love. I've always thought these big luxury machines are best enjoyed from the lap of the rear seat, but the driver’s seat? It’s no afterthought, just not quite the throne of the back. The cockpit is awe-inspiring, the broad wingspan of the dashboard stretches across the front, leaving just a sliver for the poor soul brave enough to ride shotgun. The controls are classic Mercedes; smooth, familiar, perfectly placed. And then there’s the electric drivetrain to keep things thrilling: 0-100 km/h in 4.4 seconds! Yeah, that’s fast as hell! Plus, the range comfortably covers a Pune-Mumbai-Pune jaunt with juice to spare. And you thought the experience ended there? “No, sir,” I said as I moved to the rear seat! The doors are motorised. No hand-wrestling required. The car takes care of opening and closing, like a loyal butler. Buckle up, and I was half-expecting a hostess to hand me a cocktail. Peek inside, and you’ll find a motorised centre console revealing two types of glass holders, one for your everyday scotch, the other for the fine wine connoisseur. There are trays for two that swivel, one way for your appetisers and the other way, quite privately, for sealing those important deals.
