If you’re late to a party, at least show up like Ranveer Singh. Overdressed, over the top, and absolutely unmissable. Japanese electric scooters haven’t really done that. But maybe that’s okay because their style is different. There’s a philosophy at play. Learn. Tweak. Perfect. Then go live. It’s slow, yes, but it’s solid. That’s the Japanese way and I respect it. We’re still early in the electric story but the pace of progress is real. Thanks to data, feedback, and an open-minded audience, EVs are evolving faster than ever. Now, the Suzuki E Access. I first saw it at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Show. Not the Auto Expo anymore. And I’ll be honest, it didn’t do much for me. The design and the specs looked safe. Too safe to be honest. Fast forward a few months and I find myself in Bengaluru on a Go Kart track of all places to test this scooter. Strange setting for a city commuter. But hey, I was curious. And to my surprise, it was actually good. The E Access is smooth. Balanced. Easy to get along with. It accelerates confidently, takes corners well, and the brakes feel well tuned. It rides like a scooter that’s been thought through. Three riding modes. Eco. Ride A. Ride B. Nothing fancy. No futuristic names. Just the basics done right. Eco mode gives you a claimed 95 km of range. The other two modes can hit a ceiling of 71 kmph. But here’s what really stood out. Performance doesn’t taper off as the battery drains. I ran it down to a SOC of 15 % and it still felt steady and responsive. That’s impressive. What I didn’t expect though was the absence of a price. After all the development time and a full fledged test event, Suzuki chose not to announce a figure. Which makes you wonder. Are they still finalising it or is there more to the story. Whatever the case, I’m glad Suzuki’s finally in the EV mix with something real. It may not shake up the game but it’s a strong, respectable entry. Not a revolution but a very welcome evolution. #PowerDrift #SuzukieAccess #eAccess (PowerDrift, Suzuki e-Access, EV scooter in India, New EV Scooters in 2025, e Access review)
