I was in Mumbai recently, elbows deep in Eleanor’s biggest mod job yet, when @hyper.tourer casually mentioned a scooter meetup. “Small one,” he said. I imagined five scooters and some shy helmet nods. I dropped Eleanor off earlier that day to get her buttoned up just in time, still expecting a low-key gathering. But when I arrived, I was genuinely surprised. Around 15 Aerox riders had shown up, and not a single scooter looked stock. Paint, suspension, seats, lights; every detail had been tweaked, tuned or totally reinvented. But what stood out more than the machines was the energy. Everyone was open, chatty and genuinely curious about each other’s builds. No ego, no gatekeeping, just a shared love for personalising rides and talking shop. Turns out, scooters aren’t just for the daily grind. They’re canvases, conversations and full-on statements. Eleanor showed up modded, but I left with something way better; proof that there’s a whole scene pushing limits, and it’s just getting started. . . .
