
𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗱-𝗲-𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗯𝘆 @yashika_patel Episode-4 𝗜𝗻 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲 - Vegan Tabbouleh Salad with Classic Hummus. Tabbouleh is a Mediterranean super fresh herb and bulgur salad, with parsley or coriander being the number one ingredient. It’s dotted with diced cucumber and tomato, and dressed simply with olive oil and lemon juice. It’s refreshing, light and packed with healthy ingredients. 𝗜𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀- Tabbouleh salad or Broken Wheat Salad • Tomatoes chopped - 1 number. • Mint leaves (chopped) - 1 tablespoon. • Spring onions chopped(green) - 2 tablespoons.( optional) • Onions chopped - 1 number. • Parsley chopped - ½ cup. • Dalia or cous cous - 3/4 cup. • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon. • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons. • Salt - to taste. • Pepper crushed - ½ tea spoon. Hummus • 1 cup of boiled chickpeas (or garbanzo beans) • 1/4 cup water • 3 to 5 tablespoons lemon juice (depending on taste) • 1 1/2 tablespoons tahini (sesame paste) • 2 cloves garlic (peeled and crushed) • 1/2 teaspoon salt • 2 tablespoons olive oil 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻- Tabbouleh salad or Broken Wheat Salad 1. In a bowl add Dalia (cracked wheat) in this add hot water and soak for 10 minutes use a strainer and strain the Dalia. 2. Steam the Dalia in the same strainer or in a cooker for 10minutes and let it cool down. 3. Transfer it into the bowl and add chopped parsley, chopped onions, salt, chopped spring onion, mint, chopped tomatoes, lemon juice, olive oil, crushed pepper mix it up. Hummus 4. Combine boiled chickpeas, lemon juice, sesame paste, crushed garlic and salt in a blender or food processor. Add 1/4 cup water and blend for 3 to 5 minutes on low until thoroughly mixed and smooth. 5. Add a small amount (1 to 2 tablespoons) of olive oil on the top. Garnish with parsley (optional).
