Shubho Nabami. There is a word in Bangla called “Laydh”; I doubt if there is any word in English which is synonymous to Laydh. Roughly translated it is the absurd amount of laziness which can descend on Bengalis where they refuse to be productive in any way and just laze. Lazy doesn’t do justice as Lyadh is a level higher, think sloth 🦥. Anyway, after 4 days of too much pujo ing, I got lyadh today morning. Plus I banges my head pretty badly yesterday at the Pandal and instantly got a bump on the head which hurt. So all things considered I gave in to Lyadh and decided to not wear a saree. And all I was greeted with at the Pandal was, “Saree porish ni keno tui?” Why aren’t you wearing a saree. It is sacrilige to not wear saree on Nabami. Thank God I was forgiven soon and photos were clicked ☺️. So here are my Lyadh khawa saaj on Nabami Pujo. Also, insta be like, “don’t post too many things at the same time, I will reduce your engagement further. Follow routine and plan the content.” Me be like, “Bite me” 😜 #shubhonabami #durgapuja2025 #festivelooks #durgapujo #sareeinspiration
