Sharing a Personal milestone achieved! Swipe 👉🏻 I dared do something today which is way out of my comfort zone and although it may sound silly to a lot of people, for me, this matters in a lot of ways. I went for the movies alone. I went on a movie date with me. Chris Evans & Dakota Johnson were there, which was amazing coz I like beautiful things and beautiful people. Pedro Pascal was an added bonus. Had planned to watch Materialists and I did it. I am one of those people who really don’t know how to do things alone, I mean for all my confidence, I have never done fun things on my own, no solo trips and stuff. And going to the movies, alone, was not something I had tried. There is a line in the movie, “Love is easy.” Which makes sense, love SHOULD be easy, love shouldn’t be a deal, love shouldn’t have to be forced, love shouldn’t be ticking check boxes and most importantly love shouldn’t be pain. And as we grow older, I guess we end up realising, that the easiest love, the love that matters, the love that will stay with you forever is the love you have for yourself. BUT, for that, you need to fall in love with yourself. And as much as we all, (read modern confident women) claim to love ourselves, we hardly ever do. We do not love ourselves, we are harshest with our own self, we set up extremely weird standards, stupid goals and stuff for ourself and most of all, we put ourself last. People pleaser syndrome, need everyone else to like us, so we can’t put ourselves first, can we? But for the last two years, I have slowly been falling in love with myself, and honest to God, turns out, I like me and my own company quite a lot. Also nice movie.
