Answering the most asked question in my DMs: Was it a planned pregnancy? Yes, it was a planned pregnancy! For the longest time—until early last year (January 2024)—we were certain that we would have only one child. (Those who know me well would know this) My husband always wanted a sibling for T, but I wasn’t sure if I was ready to raise two kids. Financial concerns and my emotional health also played a role in my hesitation. However, my brother’s wedding was a turning point for me. I realized just how important siblings are at every stage of life. I share an incredible bond with my brother and cousins, and so does my husband with his sibling and both of us with each others. Growing up in joint families, we didn’t want T to miss out on that experience. That was the first and biggest reason that changed my decision—we wanted T to have a sibling, no matter if it was a brother or sister. So why did we decide to have a second child after six long years? 1. We finally feel financially stable enough to raise two kids. 2. Emotionally, my husband and I are now at a stage where we can navigate parenting together. (All parents know that becoming parents can be the ultimate test for a marriage!) And thus here we are—enjoying our second pregnancy to the fullest and eagerly waiting for our little one to change our lives all over again! And yes T is beyond excited to have a sibling in his life, he keeps telling "main yeh karunga, woh karunga etc with my brother/sister" #babyno2comingsoon #babyno2loading #pregnancyannouncementideas #secondpregnancyannouncement #momblogger #indiamoms #indianparents
