🌈1)At Pahalgam your hired car is allowed only at certain points. You need to hire union taxis from there only to visit points like aru valley, betaab valley etc. and the rates for each point are fixed. We can visit baisaran valley (mini Switzerland) by pony ride and here the riders bargain like insane. You should not pay more than 2k for each pony and 2.5k if they promise to take you to other points like old shankaracharya etc . 🌈2) At Gulmarg many times drivers may try to fool you saying bohut snow hai hamari gaadi nahi jayegi etc, in such case you should call the hotel u have booked your stay in and confirm if vehicles are coming .if they say that genuinely there is too much snow you wil have again book a special chained vehicle to reach up. 🌈3) you wil have to book another vehicle from Gulmarg to reach drung falls and here also the drivers bargain alot. 🌈4)most of the time drivers have a commission cut in almost everything, if they tell you "yaha accha quality ka Milta hai for things like kesar, dry fruits etc" don't just blindly believe..do your own research. 🌈5) Gondola rides have to be booked in advanced but if you fail to get the bookings trust me if you are going in winters the area around Gulmarg before the Gandola ride is also equally beautiful and fully covered with snow so you can peacefully enjoy many snow activities here. 🌈6) ATV ride at doodhpatri is a must do experience and here also they bikers bargain a lot and you should not pay more than 1000-1500 per Atv (we booked only one Atv for all 3 of us) for pick and drop. PRO TIP: You will be expected to pay tips everywhere(drivers, bikers, pony riders) so be prepared accordingly and mostly all of these people also specialise in clicking really good pictures so you can ask them for many pictures and they wil happy do it when you tip them generously. You can check my highlights named Kashmir for more details and feel to ask in comments for any more queries like vegetarian restaurants serving jain food across kashmir etc ⬇️⬇️⬇️ Stay tuned @diariesofts for more updates [Kashmir diaries, mustdothingsinkashmir, Pahalgam diaries, chandanwarivalley Pahalgam, winter vacation, snow vacation]
