This reel isn’t about guilt. It’s about awareness and choice. Every year, over 90 billion land animals are slaughtered for food - many of them kept in dark, confined, filthy spaces enduring procedures without anaesthesia. And dairy comes with forced insemination, stolen calves and repeated cycles of trauma. All for a product we don’t need and alternatives for which we already have. In India, over 4.5 billion chickens are raised in battery cages smaller than an A4 sheet of paper. Contrary to popular belief, many animals are slaughtered without stunning, in violation of humane slaughter norms, due to lack of strict regulation around what happens in the meat and dairy industry. The average Indian dairy cow is impregnated repeatedly and separated from her calf soon after birth - a standard industry practice, while male calves are often abandoned, sold into the veal industry or left to starve. We disconnect the animal from the product so we can keep consuming in comfort. The truth is if slaughterhouses were transparent, so would our choices be. Just know you can thrive without contributing to harm. Because you are what you eat - and you can always choose compassion 🌱 . . . #veganfortheanimals #veganforhealth #youarewhatyoueat #govegan #vegangirl #compassionforanimals #veganindia #veganfacts #animalcruelty
