every shade of blue, but chasing green dreams I think every vegan can attest to this: one of the most unsettling moments of our journey wasn’t just learning the truth about animal agriculture - it was sharing it. That moment when we, horrified by what we had uncovered, told our friends, family and colleagues, expecting them to feel the same urgency, only to realize we were the only ones who cared. The biggest green pill of our lives, was immediately followed by the biggest blue pill. Despite overwhelming evidence - the haunting footage from slaughterhouses, the billions of vegetarians who prove daily that life without meat is not just possible but abundant, the world’s top nutrition and dietetic institutions confirming that plant-based diets are suitable for all stages of life, and the growing number of elite vegan athletes - people still cling to the myths of a lifestyle dependent on the suffering of sentient beings. They refuse to see past tradition, convenience, and habit, holding onto a way of living that should have been left behind long ago. And yet, somehow, we keep going. We learn to exist in a world that isn’t quite ready, surrounded by the blues of indifference, skepticism, and resistance. At first, it’s disheartening. Then, it becomes fuel. Because the thing about chasing green dreams in a blue world is that change, however slow, is inevitable. The questions that were never asked before begin to surface. The meals that were once ridiculed start to appear on more plates. The people who once dismissed you reach out, saying, “I think I get it now.” So though you may feel a little blue at times, remember- it is temporary. The world around you will always stay green, and that is permanent 💚🌍 . . . #vegangirl #greenliving #blues #veganworld #veganindia #animallovers #govegan #veganfortheanimals #veganfortheplanet
