While chatting with my friends on menopause, I realised how little information we have. Some take it in their stride, some don’t want to talk about it, some feel bogged down by it but the lack of information and the fear spread around the word needs to change. How differently this phase was once held. In yogic texts, menopause was described as Rajonivritti, a natural turning inward, a shift of prana rather than a loss of it. It made me pause and question how much pressure we carry today to stay the same, even when our bodies are clearly changing. I’m learning to meet this phase with a little more curiosity and a lot less judgment, and maybe that’s where things begin to feel easier. If this feels familiar or if have felt it too, drop in your thoughts. It is high time we own it and not be bogged down by it. And yes, our bodies are changing, but it’s not a disease. It’s time to understand it better. Stay tuned as I take you on this ride. More coming up on this. [Menopause, Rajonivritti, Ayurveda, Prerna Sinha, MaaOfAllBlogs, Indian Culture With Prerna]
