Amid escalating tensions in the Middle East, Mohammad Safa — Chief Representative of the Patriotic Vision Association (PVA) and a former United Nations diplomat — has made a startling claim. He alleged that the United Nations is preparing for a potential nuclear strike on Tehran. Soon after making this statement, Safa resigned from all his positions. In a post on the social media platform X, he said he did not want to be a witness to — or complicit in — what he described as a “crime against humanity.” He added that stepping down was his way of trying to prevent a potential “nuclear winter” before it’s too late. Safa also accused certain senior UN officials of acting in the interests of a powerful lobby, rather than upholding the organisation’s core principles.
