This might sting a little but it’s the truth. Motorcycling, at least in its purest form, peaked about a decade ago. Somewhere along the way, we lost the essence. And before anyone points fingers, I will admit I have been part of the problem too. More than once. And I am not talking about work, that’s different. I mean the times when the ride stopped being about the ride. Because for me, the best moments have never been about content or numbers. They’ve been about riding; just riding. Being on the saddle with no agenda. Random conversations over the intercom. Pulling over at a small food joint and actually talking to friends instead of staring into a screen. That’s what it should be. At least sometimes. Create, shoot, build; without a doubt. That’s part of the world we live in. But not every ride needs to be documented. Not every moment needs to be shared. Once in a while, just ride. Ride like you used to. The creation will happen but just once is a blue moon, motorcycle enough because you LOVE IT! . . .
