Did you know about this oldest Shiva temple in Bengaluru? Located amidst the busiest areas of Halasuru, this temple is believed to be built by the Chola dynasty in 12th century. The temple is dedicated to lord Shiva and as soon as you enter the temple you can hear chants of ‘Om Namah Shivay’ making you feel at ease and peaceful. The temple showcases the stunning Dravidian architecture, intricate carvings and a majestic gopuram! The main deity, Someshwara, is worshipped as a form of Shiva, and the temple attracts devotees, especially during Maha Shivaratri. Its serene atmosphere, historical significance, and beautifully sculpted pillars make it a must-visit for history and spirituality enthusiasts.
