//7 years of bookstagramming// Commitment - a word we seldom associate with the times we are living in. Commitment to stay put, show up, despite fallbacks, despite no results. We are wired to move on if things don’t go our way. We are falling short of holding patience in our hearts. A thing goes awry - and woom! we don’t know how to go back to it. To figure out, to repair, to mend, to stay close. And yet - @bookish.fame survived seven years. It’s a long long time, folks! @khyati_gautam - the face behind this page - is a perpetually impatient person. She gets miffed if things go out of her hands. She gets really irritated and extremely disappointed if she doesn’t see results, despite efforts. She becomes cynical, sometimes too low to connect with people around, and withdraws more than she would like to. And yet, @bookish.fame has been up and running. Even if things took a different route, numbers didn’t shift, energy felt stagnant, and uncertainty crept in. I think that’s the magic of doing what you absolutely love to do ❤️ You always find a way out. And that’s precisely where commitment stems from, I believe. Love. I love this space, how I created it, carved it over the years, and allowed it to be my thing. Regardless of what anyone said, I kept up with it. Because I love it. My love for books, reading, writing, all things literature, and my commitment to spreading the light of intentional living with words. These seven years have been transformative, both as a content creator, as a professional and surely, personally. The folks who joined in added to the bliss. You’ve made every review, every author spotlight, every colourful picture worth sharing. This community has transformed not just how I read, but how I see the world through books. And otherwise too. Thank you for trusting my voice and being part of this incredible seven-year adventure. Here’s to the stories that connect us, the authors who inspire us, and the friendships that make this bookish life so rich. Grateful for every one of you who makes this community a true safe space to cherish. #bookstaversary #bookishfame
