I didn’t expect to fall in love with an old pittal tiffin but here we are. Over 50 years ago, someone bought this brass tiffin from a local bartan bazaar… maybe after a little bargaining, maybe as a part of their wedding trousseau. It might’ve cost ₹10 back then, but for them, it was priceless. This tiffin has likely carried over 20,000 meals…rajma-chawal, saag, rotis wrapped in cloth, achaar in the corner compartment. It sat in schoolbags, train berths, bullock carts, and lunch shelves of offices. Once common, now forgotten. But in today’s world of disposables, it’s more valuable than ever. Not just for its craftsmanship… but for the warmth, memories, and sustainability it stands for. Sometimes, the most ordinary things are what carry our most extraordinary stories. ❤️ #DograCulture #BrassTiffin #HeritageInMyHands #JammuFood #LostAndFoundLove
