Thousands of devotees gathered in Motihari, Bihar, as the world’s largest Shivling was installed at the under-construction Virat Ramayan Mandir. The 33-foot Sahasralingam, carved from a single black granite stone in Tamil Nadu, was lifted using two heavy cranes and placed amid Vedic chants of “Har Har Mahadev.” Flower petals were showered from a helicopter as priests performed rituals using sacred water from major pilgrimage sites. The temple complex, spread over 125 acres, is expected to be completed by 2030 and is set to become the world’s largest temple, boosting religious tourism in the region.
