Went to Madina from Jeddah for Friday Prayers @haramainrailway Alhamdulillah I just experienced something truly magical. One morning, I boarded the Haramain High Speed Railway from Jeddah to Madinah for Friday prayers, and honestly? This journey changed how I think about pilgrimage travel. The Haramain Express isn’t your average train. It’s the world’s fastest electric railway connecting the two holiest cities in Islam-Makkah and Madinah-with speeds hitting 300 kilometers per hour. As someone who’s made this trip by road (which takes 5-6 grueling hours), stepping into Jeddah Al-Sulimaniyah Station felt like entering the future of Saudi Arabia tourism. The boarding experience was seamless. Everything about this high-speed train screams modern infrastructure. Within minutes, we’re accelerating through the Saudi landscape at speeds I’ve never experienced on land before. About halfway through the journey, I grabbed a cup of authentic Saudi Arabian coffee from the onboard café. That’s when I decided to listen to Surah Al-Kahf-the Friday sunnah that Prophet Muhammad (puh) encouraged us to recite. There’s something profoundly beautiful about listening to these sacred verses while traveling at incredible speed toward Madinah. The entire experience-from Jeddah to Madinah-took just 90 minutes.
